Using primed boards makes economic sense because it frees up valuable finishing capacity on a process that is frequently a bottleneck and saves on-site labour and finishing time, thereby enabling projects to be accelerated.
Most general purpose applications will work well with the most economical P05 service, but for more exacting applications we offer P10, which is a medium cost air dried intermediate primer with superior finish and P15, which is a superior UV cured primer suitable for high end applications and a wide variety of over coating paint systems.
We offer a high volume – fast turnaround service. We can turnaround a truck-load of priming in quick-time on board sizes up to 12’ x 4’ (3,660 x 1220 mm), but we also offer a small batch service. Our system coats edges and faces in one pass, so it’s cost effective when compared to other systems, which require hand spraying of edges for example.
From an environmental stand-point the P05, P10 and P15 waterborne systems will meet all aspects of the existing legislation. Moreover, the added durability that the P15 UV primer makes this option equal to most solvent based priming systems, without the Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) emissions. We are confident that we are close to industry best-practice levels of VOC emissions in relation to the volume of production.

Component edges receive 50% coat weight per side. Panels finished both sides receive 100% of nominal coat weight. Due to lower core densities on panels such as MDF, the edges may appear to receive coat weights of approximately 25%. |
