Our NEW mechanised cold pressing line offers a laminating service for panel products.
A wide range of options are available using different substrates and surfacing materials up to
size 10’ x 5’.

Neat bonding has been accomplished using adhesive systems which are appropriate to the materials to be bonded. In the case of 2 part adhesives we have stopped using powder hardeners. Both the resin and the hardener are liquid and have been found to be much better in many respects. The company has also found reliable detergents for cleaning the glueing machine at the end of every session. These improvements have allowed us to press/bond with increasing confidence. The presses used are cold.

The 2 part adhesives which we employ are:

• Urea Formaldehyde (UF)
• Phenol Resorcinol Formaldehyde (PRF)

The single part adhesive is PVA

The combinations of materials bonded:

• Laminate / MDF / Laminate
• MDF / MDF
• MDF (FR) / Neatback (phenolic impregnated paper)

The sheet sizes have included sheets up to 10 feet (3050mm) long and 5 feet wide (1525mm) wide.

Customers are at liberty to “free issue” the materials or ask NCL to source them.
